On a crispy morning in the baltic streets of Sarona in between the 1930’s Bauhaus buildings, woke up an influential man once dubbed, “Obama’s nightmare”. His name is Mr Benjamin Netanyahu. Even so the rifts between the high profile figures, Mr Netanyahu was the first to bet on Mr Obama’s rise to supremacy, “He’s got it, he can beat Hillary,” he mumbled.
In an angst of his own, Prime minister Netanyahu got a vigilant surveillance on his wreckage after his sturdy-built ship got capsized in the highs of the Israeli political seas. Mr Netanyahu was immediately put to alert when his Likud party lost in almost all the strategic regions in the 2021 Israeli parliamentary elections a night before.
Once an iron fist of a Tyrant, the long serving Prime Minister was later kicking his toe when he realised he has lost his majority seater advantage in the assembly in what was thought to be the start to the fall of the great Benjamin Netanyahu and the momentous rise of his then successor Mr Naftali Bennett.
However, Benjamin this time couldn’t escape the spotlight — he had to fight for his survival against a Vote of No Confidence. Ultimately! Benjamin would lose his fight which then topped headlines on almost every global news network for over a week. The New York Times would write “House opinion swing the votes in Naftali’s favour, PM Ben-Net [Netanyahu] finally falls”.

On 13th June 2021, after a ten year stint in power, that was finally the end of an era for great Mr Netanyahu and what was thought to be the beginning of a brand new peg in the Israeli political dimension.
With little or no time to prepare, PM Naftali was expected to click in just his first week in office. With a clear historical background, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict dominated his agenda, which commentators believed seemed to have given him [Naftali] that sharp edge over Benjamin. Following a decent start to office though, Mr Bennett would later lose his ground when he failed to leverage a nuclear deal with Iran. He would later resign after a heavy backlash just to be replaced by one of his fiercest oppositions in Mr Yair Lapid — but that was just for a brief moment before election.
Then came a familiar face of a surprise challenger. But wait! Who saw it coming. The Return of the “gladius god”. After a time off on sabbatical, Benjamin will announce his candidature to re-run for Prime Minister after exactly one year since his ouster. As Mr Lapid steadfastness was on every statesman’s questionnaire, he wouldn’t consume the heat censure beyond a year — which after a unanimous vote, cometh the resurrection of the Jewish lord in Tel Aviv, Mr Benjamin Netanyahu.
Literally! Mr Netanyahu would re-assume office on December 29, 2022 making him the longest serving Israeli Prime Minister in history.
