“NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER”; OPERATION THREE-YEARS-JOTNA PRESIDENT

After a long silence of the Three-years-jotna executive, the president of the mentioned movement Abdou Njie yesterday appeared in front of cameras in an interview saying they have no plans to retreat or surrender their position after a rumor went viral that they have finally agreed to step back.

He noted that they have already made all necessary preparations to carry out their long awaited re-protest against president Barrow for still refusing to abide by the MOU he vowed to put into consideration at the end of his three-year presidency term. He said that his movement’s executives are very disappointed not receiving any response from the President’s Office with regards to the filed petition they handed over on their December 16 protest. He added that on the 19th of January would be one of a “masterpiece protest” that would make an ideal alert to all politicians that Gambians are no more dared to be fooled.

Alieu Bah a human right activist widely known as Immortal X who serves as the public relations officer(PRO) added, they are with the knowledge that some pro-Barrow Supporters are putting up some threat related statements against them and also telling the masses that their movement is a criminal revolution which plans to hinder the peace and order of the country.
He condemned such statements saying they are nothing but false allegations. MR Bah added that, it is important for the people to know that they are a no problematic movement but instead a movement vying to hold their ‘politicians to account’.

This interview came to urgency after A well-experienced legal practitioner named Ismail AM Gibba openly blasted the three-years-jotna movement saying it is not a “legal movement” and have no regards for the constitution. Lawyer Gibba added that President Barrow should not allow the 3-years jotna to go out on an another protest as it could lead the country into jeopardy.

However, Mr Njie added, they are already aware that some political commentators and lawyers have took to media pretending to be enlightening the public via the constitution, going to the extend of criticizing and bullying their movement saying it’s illegal. He concluded saying such philosophies and ideologies of such legal practitioners and political analysts are politically motivated and they are just quoting and interpreting in the interests of President Barrow.
